Milestones

The youth and innocence of a young woman about to turn 16. The pure independence of a lady turning 30. The mom, who is turning the wonderful 50, and gets to brag about the two young women she has as daughters. The making of the perfect Milestone shoot. The session was extremely fun. Great conversation, lots of laughs and not to mention, us beating out the rain! Happy Birthday, Ladies! I wish for you each to enjoy many many more!

He'll be home soon

Boudoir is French for a lady's private bedroom or sitting area. In photography, it makes for very intimate photographs. What we have here is an intimate session with "Lady S". Just a beautiful woman waiting on her husband to come home from a hard days work. Thank you, Lady S for being such a great sport! Can't wait to do the couples shoot of you and the hubby!

I shot my mentor/friend

As someone looking to become a well established photographer, I would highly recommend taking classes and learning from one of your favorites in the business. I had the pleasure of being introduced to Nasilele, through a mutual friend, who is the owner and sole Photographer at Nasilele Photography located in Bedford Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn, NY. What intrigued me about her work is her composition and use of natural light. She presented me with the opportunity to take a few photos of her and her son, Ajani. I guess I stepped up to the challenge and met it to her liking... She used a couple of the photos on her annual Christmas Cards! Thank you, Nas for the opportunity and I am looking forward to working with you again.

Beach Bummin'

On a random summer day, I decided to go to the beach with a dear friend. Not many photos were taken, but this one was captured of me. I make some of the silliest faces and ridiculous poses. Needless to say I am very UNphotogenic, LOL!!! But, I did enjoy this shot of myself that I wanted to share...

My Bestie and her Fiance got married!!! Never have I met a couple who are more deserving of each other. I was lucky enough to capture this image of them during their union ceremony. I wish them all the blessings in the world. Their love is undeniably beautiful!!!!!

Long Time, No See...

It's been a long time since I updated this blog. Let me start this one by saying that I had the opportunity to do a maternity shoot for a friend and his lady. They welcomed their bundle of Joy in which they named, Sania! I will be photographing Sania in the next weeks. For now, Enjoy the photos of them having fun with their Lil Mama while she's getting ready for her grand entrance.

I wanted to take a quick moment to shout out two women I met via Myspace about 6 or 7 years ago. They are very talented in doing hair, creating fashion statements/pieces, web design, graphic design, tutoring, and being all-around fun people. Janice started a clothing line called Luck-N-Luxury that is spiraling into a frenzy now. Josiah has Impress Me Web Design and Crush.N.Glam which carries an array of accessories any woman may need/want in their collection. Both women have web sites that are up and running.
